The model layer is swappable, and the active provider and its processing region are always shown to admins under Settings, AI. Workspace content is not used to train shared models, usage is metered per AI seat, and a self-hosted deployment can point at its own or a regional provider.
Workspace AI is processed by Anthropic Claude in the United States and is never used to train models. The active provider, region and data-use terms are always visible under Settings, AI, and any endpoint outside a trusted region is flagged before it is used. Self-hosted deployments can run the AI on their own infrastructure.
