Assigned comments and action items
Any comment on a task can be turned into an owned, trackable action item. This kills the "someone mentioned it in a comment and it evaporated" problem.
Assigning a comment
Under any task comment, pick a teammate in the Assign to... dropdown. The comment gets an "Assigned" badge, and the assignee gets an in-app notification.
The Action items page
Work > Action items shows two lists:
- Assigned to me: every open comment assigned to you, with a link back to the task and a Resolve button.
- Waiting on others: comments you assigned to teammates that are still open.
Resolving marks the comment with a green Resolved badge on the task.
When to use it
- A review comment that requires a fix ("the header overlaps on mobile").
- A question that a specific person must answer before work continues.
- Anything in a comment thread that would otherwise need a separate task but is too small to justify one.
